Single Column Bulk Bag Lift Description
This screw driven bulk bag lift was designed to raise and lower a 1000 Kgs Bulk Bag from floor level to a maximum height of 6164mm. In addition to lifting, once the bulk bag lift was at the full up position, the Bulk Bag was rotated through 90 degrees to align with a Blender infeed hopper. The bulk bag lift is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout. The bulk bag lift cradle was a set of forks that a bag docking device (supplied by others) was loaded onto. Once the bag was loaded onto the bag docking device, the lift could rise to its full up position under ‘dead man’s handle’ control. At the full up position the operator controlled the rotation of the lift and bag via ‘dead man’s handle’ control. Once rotated, the bag was lowered into the blender inlet charging hopper. The bulk bag lift was designed to bolted to the floor and fixed to the building structure at the top. Lifting with the bulk bag lift was accomplished via a screw and a frictionless ball bearing lifting nut and the total lift and traverse time was under 60 seconds. Both the Main Control Panel and the Push Button Station were Stainless Steel enclosures with an IP65 Ingress Protection Rating. All lubricants or greases used on the machine were FDA approved.

Bulk Bag Lift Application Story
This bulk bag lift was required to raise and lower a Bulk Bag from floor level to discharge into a Blender at a height of 6164mm. The Bulk Bag was loaded onto the lifting forks and raised to the appropriate height before being rotated through 90 degrees over the top of blender. The bulk bag lift was installed into a food/pharmaceutical environment so a hygienic design was essential. The main control panel was mounted remotely so all cabling was passed through a 50mm stainless steel conduit.
